Jefferson County, Waurika Lake update....
Waurika Lake is no longer under an advisory for blue-green algae concluded from sample analysis
received just this afternoon. Click Here for flyer with information about BGA that will be posted around the
lake for customer information. It is important to note that BGA occurs naturally in all bodies of water and
can be harmful to animals and humans in high concentrations. We will continue to sample monthly and
report accordingly. Please let me know if you have any questions.
